I'm going to be a nanna!

I thought I'd share this wonderful news with my friends on here. My dtr and her partner are expecting a little boy at the beginning of January, she's 23 weeks along.
They are thrilled seeing they didn't think they would be able to have any. She's visiting us for a few days and is finally showing a baby bump.
We've got some great times to come, I can't wait.

JulieO that is really wonderful news. I am not a nanna but I know from friends and of course people on here that it is a wonderful thing. One friend actually says (tongue in cheek) that if she had known she would have had the grandkids first.

Congratulations to your whole family JulieO. Your lives will head off in a different direction now as you do all the things us grandparents do. Hope you get plenty of babysitting jobs in the future.
I can remember how excited I was when my DD finally came to tell us they were expecting. After 10 years of marriage I was beginning to think I was never going to be a Grandma and my baby hope chest was bulging at the seams by then. Of all my friends, I was the only one that really wanted to be a Grandma early but ended up coming last - better late than never. All I had was 5 grand-dogs until then.

JulieO, that is great news. Take plenty of photos from day one. I made a large collage for each of our grand children with photos of them during their 1 st two years. Now they are older, they love to look at them. I am soooooooo excited for you.

Congratulations, what wonderful news. Between my brother, my sister and myself we have provided my parents with 8 Grandchildren in less than 5 years. Very, very busy times, but it is lovely they have so many cousins to play with. The first 4 grandies were girls, then 4 boys.
