Light condensed & evaporated milk ice-cream

Name of Recipe: Light condensed & evaporated milk ice-cream
Number of People: makes about 1 litre so probably 4 - 6 servings
Ingredients:
200g light condensed milk (chilled) - 1/2 tin
375ml can light evaporated milk (chilled)
140mls cold water
2 teaspn vanilla extract
40- 60 gms grated milk chocolate
Preparation:
Using the butterfly, whip evaporated milk and water 3 mins/speed 4. It will fill the bowl as it thickens up.
Turn speed down to 2 and add the condensed milk and vanilla essence. Mix 1 min/speed 4.
Freeze in a 20cm cake tin for 3.5 hours.
Without butterfly, whip 2 mins/speed 8.
Freeze again for 3 hours, then whip 2 more minutes. Fold in the grated chocolate.
Pour into the container you want to store it in and allow to fully set.

Flavourings - omit the chocolate and dissolve 1.5 dessertspoons coffee powder in 140mls water or stir in 280 gms thick fruit puree.

Tips/Hints:

This does set quite hard but you only need to leave it out of the freezer for 10-15 minutes before serving.

thanks JD - move over Connoisseur brand, will give this a go soon onc we we finish the present ice cream. like the idea of the grated choccy.

I'm making this today as we've finished the Cherry Icecream.

was just wondering if for a fruit puree variation - is that in mls or grams?
