Having the time of my life
« on: September 28, 2010, 01:27:23 pm »
:D I just cannot believe how much fun I am having - today I made more jam, hazelnut spread, bread rolls, strawberry icecream, and stock. I am just about beside myself with the cost-saving and health aspects of my Thermie! Not enough hours in the day, thank goodness I am on holidays.

And the good thing about it, it won't wear off.  No matter how long you have your TM you will still be blown away at what it can do with ease.  I couldn't be without mine now.  :)

Hi passir and welcome. You will find it hard when you go back to work, but at least you will know exactly what your Thermomix can do.

Welcome Passir. I'm enjoying using my TM heaps on the holidays too. Just a question on your hazelnut spread, did you remove the skins from the hazelnuts?  I've made peanut butter and jam but haven't ventured to making the spread yet as I was unsure.

Hi & welcome.. Yep it does sound as though you're having the time of your life.

It's so much fun isn't it!

I'm feeling a bit sad now actually, as I haven't used Therm at all today & missing him a bit.. Might go & see what I can whip up.

Hi Passir,
How exciting is it??? Fortunately that feeling doesn't seem to subside.  All that money you spent was worth every cent.
I'm envious of you being on holidays but the good thing is that when you go back to work, it takes no time to whip up a meal at night anyway.
I haven't used mine today, I feel a bit empty. The meals are so big we were accumulating a hoard of left overs so tonight was left over night.  I'd even run out of containers to store meals in the freezer! ha ha.
Enjoy the rest of your holidays. You'll be able to make some treats to take into work for your work colleagues when you go back to work. (That's if you can bring yourself to share  ;D)

:D :D  It didn't take you long to get to the 'run out of containers' stage, Jodi.  Next it will be 'freezer full 'stage - it never gets any better let me tell you! It is not difficult to get to the point where you can have 'a week-from-the-freezer' menu just to get your stocks down.  Sounds like you are having a ball though and I love the way you have hopped onboard so quickly in participating in this forum.

I love the week from the freezer Judy. We've just had one of those. I took the opportunity when I was shopping to stock up on things like EVOO and baker's flour that are expensive. It was great as I really didn't need to buy much other than fresh vegetables and fruit.

Oh girls, I stopped collecting jars and ice cream containers a while back (pre TM days) as they started to take over the cupboards, now I've got the girls from work saving them for me. Of course it comes at a cost.  I have to take treats into work for them to try.  It's a hard job but someone has to do it!  :D And I don't like experimenting much  ;D ha ha

Absolutely loving the whole new lifestyle and I love chatting to you lovely ladies on here.  Makes my day! :-*
