Vodka/Cointreau
« on: October 06, 2010, 09:39:58 am »
We are having a BBQ tomorrow and was wondering if anyone has any good vodka cointreau drinks for the thermo?

I am thinking of making the Daiquiris in the EDC but using vodka in pace of bacardi... any other yummy ideas?

Thanks :)

You can use Vodka and Cointreau in almost any combination with fruit, lemon/lime juice/sugar and ice and make a very delicious smoothie with alcohol.

Daiquiri is usually with Ruhm but you can use Vodka and Cointrau instead and it will still taste good.

My favorite cocktail is the Mojito. Lime or lemon juice, sugar fresh mint, ruhm and ice.

Another nice combination is Strawberries, lemon juice, sugar, cointreau and ice.

Piņa Colada is also very nice in the TMX use, bananna, pineapple, coconut milk, ruhm and ice.

If the cocktail becomes to sour or to sweet adjust with powdered sugar or lemon juice.

Sorry, too late.  But next time, just ice and Cointreau blitzed together to make a frappe. Nice

Generally about 30 ml (or a tad more) of Cointreau and 1/2 cup of ice per person and just blitz it like the sorbet recipes - little help from the spatula if needed

I think I need to try that with Frangelico (no Cointreau here at the moment).  Thanks Thermomixer  ;)
