Yummy dinners, Katie and Cookie.

We went out with relatives to a popular restaurant in Bentley yesterday, Malaysian Dining Delights. As there were 10 of us we could order lots of variety of dishes: chicken curry, Assam fish, sambal prawns, deep fried eggplants, tofu eggs, gado-gado.

Dessert at our house: sticky date pudding. Our English uncle loved it, and took the remaining puddings home with him ;D

I'll put the recipe up Mich just a tweak or so to go. I am using the rest of the veggies for scrolls for lunch. If the dough gets a move on and rises!

Creamy chicken and mushroom pies here tonight.

I've also got a whole Mexican chicken in the slow cooker for enchiladas for a weeknight dinner later in the week.

Nothing, still too full from DS birthday lunch (tortillas, pulled pork, salsa, guacamole, frijoles refritos, chocolate chilli tart, dulce de leche ice cream)

We had risoni pasta cooked in water with saffron added. Then sundries tomatoes, smoked salmon and a bit of cream added. I also added chopped parsley for a bit of colour. Very easy and nice with a squirt of lemon and Parmesan.

DH made chilli con carne from the new EDC... He used less chilli for DD and we "made do" with a few lead ingredients as we have not done a big shop yet,  but it was quite delicious, especially as I wasn't cooking!
