Hally it was tasty with penne pasta and a salad but I am going to try it as a lasagne. Compared to the spag bol which I have made for eons I believed it was less liquidy.   :)  :)

Hi Robyn,

I think it is a very rich sauce and it is very different to the bol sauce i made before my tm. I find it suits lasagna but too rich for pasta on its own.

We love it in lasagna and always have 1 in the freezer  to make a quick dinner. I do this once every 7-10 days and ds loves it in his flask for lunch at school & dh requests it for lunch regularly at work.

I have not doubled it as it didnt seem  to work, woud love to though.

Hally :)

Tonight we are havingthe famous KFC with a curry pasta salad and garden salad. Smells so nice. I used the last of my spice mix so will have to make another batch up soon.

Passionflower what polenta recipe do you use?  I've only made polenta once in my Thermomix and it wasn't very good  :(.  I'd like to try again...

Mexican Vegetarian Stack from 'A Taste of Vegetarian'. Haven't tried this before. Made the sauce for it last night, which tasted good. Will probably do a dessert since the TMX will be free, having pretty much finished its job on the main.

Katie the secret is to use the butterfly whisk while cooking it. It comes out smooth and perfect.

This is the recipe I use ( I took my own recipe and looked up cooking times and methods. I realised I would never get a smooth polenta if using the blades only so I changed it mid flow and it worked perfectly).

- 300-350 g Polenta depends how thick you want it, we like it fairly thick
- 1200 g liquid (a mixture of water and milk, just water or just milk is up to you, I usually add half and half)
- 2 Tbsp chicken stock paste
-40gr butter to finish (optional)

Add the liquid and stock to the bowl and boil for 12 Min. 100°C Speed 1.

Next insert the butterfly whisk pour polenta through the lid while blades are moving at Speed 2( you will have to make sure all the polenta is incorporated if need be whizz for a few seconds at speed 4(to make sure is evenly mixedwith the liquid) cover the measuring cup with a cloth just in case!!!

Then simply cook for 10 Min at 100°C spoon speed.
a few seconds before finish add the butter if using.
Hope this helps

Thanks Passionflower, I've been hesitant about making it. It sounds like the butterfly will make it much easier than what I imagined.

I know it's bad but since I discovered how quick, easy and yummy the pizza dough is, this is the 3rd time I've made it in under 2 weeks :-)) Might need to discover something else next LOL!
