Tonights meal is Baked Penne Carbonara. Was in the latest Fooworks catalogue.
Cook pasta in saucepan. In the meantime prepare carbonara sauce as per EDC instructions.
Pour cooked and drained pasta into casserole dish. Pour carbonara sauce over the top and sprinkle with grated cheese.
Bake in oven 180C for about 20 minutes.
Will also try and attempt to make Turkish bread to go with it.

Zucchini pasta as I'm tired. We had a Model A run and it was fairly long. Went to the most amazing place and saw a historical gun collection. I thought it would be boring but the man who has it is hilarious and really loves his guns/knives etc. He is a former doctor who has written a book that I believe is very funny. I managed to get a copy from him so will start it tonight. He is a former VD doctor at the WA department of health.

Tonight we had a variation of creamy tomato and salami fettucine. Substituted chicken for the salami.
My nearly 12 year old son wanted to make dinner tonight for the very first time and he did a fantastic job!!! He also made a green salad and corn on the cob to feed the 5 of us!
We were very impressed and it was done with minimal involvement from me. I was just hovering

Just made the red curry risotto and it''s delicious! No capsicum in mine but it's still enough to appeal to my hubby who is not a risotto fan.

I made the Butter Chicken again last night, though sadly only with 340g of chicken which means only a tiny tiny smidgen of left overs
Tasted much better this time due to using "normal" Tikka paste
Pleased that I still lost weight, despite all the cream in it

Making bolognaise tonight (with my favourite 'spicy peppers' jar of pasta sauce, red wine and home grown herbs) and have my first real quiche (with homemade shortcrust pastry) in the oven for tomorrow's lunch, might make a quick mix banana bread or cake tonight as I have 2 bananas that are ready to go!

Tonight we had a risotto with some leftovers from Saturday's lunch thrown in. I used Chelsea's creamy prawn risotto recipe and instead of prawns, added 6 roasted red capsicums stuffed with tuna/cottage cheese and a few sticks of cooked breaded zucchini. I opened a 95g can of tuna to just top up those quantities. Lovely, a meal for 4 so plenty of leftovers.
