Oh wow that looks fantastic JulieO. I've bought Tenina's book but in the ultimate act of sacrifice I'm giving it to my friend next week for Xmas and I can just imagine her feeding this to her family and loving it. Can't wait to give her the book now and see her excitement!

Thanks Deedub, there's some great recipes in that book, there won't be many that I won't try.  :)

Maddy, not hot at all, (we're not big on too much heat).   I only used 2 dried chillies which kept the heat factor down, still spicy but not hot.  You could just try one or even 1/2 if worried about the kids.  I also recommend only using 1 tbs brown sugar and then trying at the end whether you want it any sweeter or not.  It's really flavoursome.  :)

Tenina's slow cooked chilli pork on the menu here tonight as well Julie - it was delish.  I used 3 fresh chillies - instead of dried chilli, kelpamore instead of dulse flakes (as I didn't have any) and served with a version of fried rice. Dessert was Pineapple passionfruit pavlova - great company was even better!!!! Twitterpated and her DH are in Rocky for the weekend so came for dinner - yahoo!!!! and nobody needed to wear a red hat or purple beads for identification!!!!!

....there was a can of drained crushed pineapple + 2 passionfruit in the filling Frozzie, and I used mango and some passionfruit to decorate - there should have been many burning ears tonight as Twitterpated and I discussed forum life!!!!! - there were many raised eyebrows with our DH'S  :D  :D

Glad you finally got to meet each other girls.  Robyn, our DH's have 2 choices when it comes to being part of forum members' get togethers - either join in or be prepared to be ignored  ;D  They know us well enough by now to know the main conversation will be about the forum or cooking with the TMX.

The meal looks beautiful. I'm sure you had a lovely evening.

Tonight we're having pizza for dinner, with one of them being like
Tenina's pizza.

McMich I fail miserably at using TMX (I know that many have mastered this skill) so did the beating of the egg whites in KA.  However I used thermie to make the custard type filling - 3/4 cup milk. 2 tabsp custard powder + 3 tabsp sugar cooked at 90 degs speed 4 until thick - about 3 -4 mins, add 1 can well drained crushed pineapple and pulp 2 pasionfruit - reverse speed 2 - 1 min.  Allow to cool and fold in 3/4 cup cream whipped - add to pavlova.  I topped with mango and passionfruit - meant to brown some flaked almonds but forgot.  :)  :)
