DH brought home a chicken her saw at the shops. We have decided that it will go in the weber Q and we will try Tenina's jerk chicken recipe, if I can find some of the ingredients when I go shopping after the parcel post man comes. (DD is expecting a record and doesn't want it left on the doorstep!)

It has been so hot lately but last night I decided to have pumpkin and asparagus risotto. It was really nice just used the old BCB mushroom recipe but added the pumpkin instead . I find using reverse speed 1.5 better than the butterfly . Added spinach leaves in the bottom of my oval thermosever and the asparagus copped up ( forgot to add during cooking ) then the risotto. Squeeze of lemon juice cut the creaminess.

Last night we had the Meat Loaf and Marinara sauce from Tenina's latest book. They were very nice.

Cookie, looks delicious.
Reheated some roast chicken and cooked roast pots in new way . Steamed a very large potato. When cold, cut in wedges ,placed in dish sprayed with oil and sprinkled with finely grated Parmesan. Will do this again as looked good and was very tasty. Served also with broad beans from swap and roasted pumpkin.
Even though it has been hot, it was nice to have a hot roast meal.

Snap Chookie, I’m doing the same thing tonight with both the cooked chicken and potatoes.

We often do a similar thing with ours spuds, except we partially cook them in the microwave, then use the AF. I think our AF is used several times a week. If it gives up I will be buying another one immediately.
