Casserole for DH and Zucchini patties for me.  I have no appetite at the moment and have gone right off meat.
I know it's not the time of year down here for it, Margaret, but if you are off meat, stews and soups without meat in them are great and take very little time and effort - butternut soup from the EDC* takes less than 30 minutes from start to finish - add rinsed red lentils and some cashews for an extra protein 'hit' and there you have it.

* If it's the same version of the EDC that I have.

Margret what about a quick salad , carrot with fresh ginger coriander and a squeeze of lemon juice or broccoli salad .
Last night I had Skinnymixers roast , steamed pork with apple sauce and roast vegetables. DH went missing .. he had a beer with our workman , too funny as this is unusual for him but fine with me as he has worked so much lately. DH has been very attentive since so all good . Tonight maybe Skinnymixers curry sausages .

Are you feeling better today Margaret?

I pulled a batch of leftover Caribbean Pepperpot Stew out of the freezer for tonight.

Thank you all for your meal suggestions.  Last night my GD brought me in some Rice Paper Rolls that she had made so I had them for my dinner and they were very nice.  She is also going to make me some Zucchini Boats, I'm not a lover of zucchini but will give them a go.and at least I won't have to make them.  The family are all looking after me..

How lovely of your GD to bring food in to try and encourage you to eat more Margaret. Something you haven’t cooked yourself may be just what you need at this time.

I picked up some fresh barramundi this morning. It's from a different shop so I hope it is as nice as what we have had previously.

That sounds lovely Denise. Tonight we are having an Italian mince thing rolled in fresh lasagne sheets ( long ways) with a tomato sauce over them.

Mab, hope you are feeling a bit better.  You have looked after your family so it is nice when they look after you.
While Ral has been ill I have lost interest in cooking.  Have had a few meals of Baked Beans on toast.

There's nothing wrong with baked beans and toast, occasionally, ... but you need to augment it with other food groups.  I do know how you re feeling, but we would love to drag you out for a meal one evening, but I am sure you would prefer to be with or near Ral so I won't push, just know that that is a standing open ended offer.

Baked Beans on toast is one of my favourite meals Chookie. We often have an egg and maybe some bacon on the top too.

Completely understandable Chookie and as I love baked beans they’re always a good standby here. Like cookie I mostly have an egg with them, rarely bacon although I do like bacon too.
