Ok it was easy brought cooked prawns and the terrines as a treat ! May have been a Birthday dinner for me ! No way was I going to cook in that heat .
Today I did make Skinnymixers butter chicken, a bit of effort! But so nice steamed rice and packed up three butter chicken dinners for the boys and the contract header man ( hope he doesn’t want dinner like that every night ) . Dinner Uber me !
Also made Tenia’s Killer Vanilla icecream for our 45 degree day .
Popped tinned tuna and chickpeas in fridge for when anyone is hungry .

That’s the way to go for birthday dinners KAtie. I hope the day was special in lots of ways.
Last night we had Chookie’s Spiced chicken. It is absolutely delicious. A new favourite for us.

We have heaps left over too. I didn’t use sour cream, I used natural Greek yoghurt instead.

Layered steak salad with glass noddles and pomegranate reduction . Put into ThermoServers servers for the boys . This is a favourite in our house , baby spinach balanced asparagus sugar snap peas, thin rice glass noddles( done in the thermosever) steak sliced and pomegranate sauce !
Harvest Contractor got steak and veg , thoughts may be to gourmet for him .
There is something about delivering to the paddock , DS meet us roadside in the Ute ! He had to hop off the articulator tractor with a 45 tonne chaser bin behind it to get their meals , so good as he then dropped off meal to Contractor and his dad on the other header , farm life .

I love watching RTE's little videos, she makes everything look wonderful.
Just had a look at that book Cornish. That meal looks really tasty, though I would need to reduced some of the spices to suit. Some of the other recipes look good too and I think I'll make the cardamom shortbreads when I've made some ghee. Thanks for bringing this book to my attention, there's just so many.
Yesterday I made the Tikka sauce (from the Chicken tikka flatbread) recipe in the 'Family table' UK book, in readiness of making the rest of it today. Will make my own naan bread though, see how it goes.
Edited to add; You sound very busy K Atie

CC, I am fascinated by the amount of Indian food cooked in England, Although I understand the historical background it still fascinates me.
KAtie you are really spoiling those hard working boys. I’m sure they appreciate it.
Julie, I love the way you will have a go at any interesting recipes. I love Cardamon in shortbread biscuits. The ones I have made have a touch of jam on top.
I feel exhausted at being in Melbourne. I think it is the noise as well as the number of people. I have always thought I was a city girl but seem to have become countrified.

DH loved the Tikka chicken flatbread meal I made yesterday for him. I halved the recipe to make 2 serves, so he'll have the other serve tonight. Was all made in the TM; the tikka sauce, the naan bread and I sautéed the chicken on High heat in the machine instead of in a frypan as per recipe. I made the full tikka sauce so I've frozen the rest of it to make this meal again another time.
