It is lovely to share the leftovers.  I deliberately bought extra ham and turkey so I could give some to friends and family who wouldn’t  be cooking. Although I cooked the turkey breast in the SC as RTE suggested, the whole turkey that I cooked using my traditional method was much moister.  This is not surprising as turkey breast is notoriously dry.

I'm not sure what we will have for dinner tonight. Perhaps steak, chips and salad. It is our 47th wedding anniversary today. DH says he is on his 3rd life sentence!! Typical of him.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Cookie and DH, congrats .  That is a long time.
Turkey leftover and veggies. Fresh fruit. Lots of cold water.  We have an ice machine and it certainly gets a work out this hot weather.

Tonight we are having hamburgers. I've just got the bun dough rising. I used a tablespoon of garlic oil in the dough to just give them a slight touch. It smells strong but I think it will be ok.

I'm making pizzas tonight for DH and grandson in the pizza maker. They like a meat lovers type of one.  ;D

We are slowly getting through the leftovers.  Can turn off one of the fridges. Might make a turkey and mushroom cottage pie.

Sausage rolls from the freezer.  Potato & pumpkin slice made in the AF, steamed silver beet & carrots.

OOPS, found 2pork chops at back of fridge.  Will pop them into the BBQ as it is too hot to cook inside. Apple sauce, peas and potato.
