I'm making the leftovers from a meat dish we had the other night into a pie.

I found a ramekin of Coq-au-vin in the freezer so steamed veggies to serve with cheese sauce also found in the freezer.  Chopped the chicken dish finely but for the first time since my op I served the veggies whole and just cut them as I went.  Not supposed to be eating bread yet but for lunch I had soup with crustless toast which I dipped in the soup to soften. No problems.

Good news that you are able to start extending and varying what you can eat, Judy.  That is great for the soul!

I'm sure it would have hurt if you shouldn't eat it Judy. :D :D :D :D
I love dipping my bread in my soup and also slopping up the dregs of a casserole with bread.

We are having chicken rissoles with ham and cheese on the top of them.

It does look nice Denise, I’m a huge fan of hers and Dozer.
You are right, if I have something I shouldn’t be having I would have trouble swallowing it. So far so good LOL.
My DD took me out to lunch yesterday, wasn’t sure what would be suitable but I chose garlic prawns - it was so nice to feel ‘normal’.
Tonight I had some leftover stew plus extra steamed veggies/cheese sauce.

Bimby chcocate cake is so good. I think it was you, K Atie, who suggested that to me when I was looking for a soft chocolaty treat to bake from my colleague when he got back to work a couple of months ago after he was assaulted on the street.  I have since made it a couple of times and it has been a great success.

The Bimby chocolate cake is a favourite with the GC.

We had crumbed chicken with roast veg and broccolini last night.  Tonight is pizza.

We are having RTE baked beans with her Artisan bread. I haven't cut the bread yet, so I will comment after I have done it. We love her baked beans. https://www.recipetineats.com/homemade-baked-beans-recipe-heinz/

I only discovered a couple of days ago that you could save her recipes. I must be silly!!

Yes it was Marina , it is a winner but I do reduce the sugar a lot .
DD made dinner tonight . Sweetcorn fritters with Chilli jam and  avocado cream , used fresh corn and did not use chilli in the jam , no sour cream so just mash avacardo. Really nice and we now have a jar of red pepper jam !! Two Thermomix’s going . I was kicked out of the kitchen , happy days . Bonus it’s a Cookidoo recipe and now DD has her own collection to refer to .

Chookie I love mushrooms but the boys are not that keen on them .
DS turn for cooking dinner tonight ! He cooked sausages and sautéed broccoli and zucchini... the plate was quiet bare , but we all praised him and he made dessert. Rice pudding in TMX well it was so nice with sliced banana and a dash of cinnamon and nutmeg also a drizzle of local honey . The family always complains that I give them too many vegetables so I think they are quickly realising that there is a reason for this . DD got just the greens as she told DS that she was vegan .. he then gave her a sausage just to get the point across. Both have done a great job .

K ATIE, well done for the kids.
I made some tabouli with parsley, mint and lemon from garden.
