Another surprise. I thought I had taken out a 1/2 leg of lamb, but it was a piece of beef.

KATIE, the beef was beautiful.  It was from Country Style Smallgoods. Home deliver. I cooked it in he BBQ. Served with home grown Horseradish sauce. Yes I must label everything.
Tonight, I will refresh SD rolls in AF and stuff with roast beef and salad from the garden.

Thursday nights is always 'scraps' night - finishing off all the scraps and bits and pieces of everything in the fridge and some of the meals are truly "interesting"  :o

I'm making a giant sausage roll for dinner tonight, there is less pastry by doing that, than making smaller ones. We will have veggies with it.

About the same time.  I just place on wire rack over a baking dish with water in the dish.  Lots of herbs on meat and in dish.  Set BBQ at moderate.  Start from cold, about 1 hour.

Last night we had the very popular Mexican stack , rather nice , pimped it up and instead of red beans made it meaty with mince ! Cooked it in a spring form tin using mini wraps . Recommend this .

When I made the Spag Bol, it was a bit too lumpy. I popped the lot in the TMX and blended for a few seconds.  Perfect. Contained lots of carrots and zucchini.  You would never know.

Don’t often make a cooked pud.  GD asked if I would make a Stickey Date Pud.  Kept a little for us.  Quite decadent.

DD made sweet corn fritters, sweet potato sliced chips and rice for dinner . Think kids need to cook more as DS was very hungry after , lesson told last time to add more vegetables, they will get it soon enough.
