Staff xmas party here last night so lots of barbecued meat, haloumi, chips and salads from the cafe next door, various dips and nibbles from one of our guests and my contribution was a trifle. Ate too much but had a lovely evening on our roof top deck. As there hadn't been too many opportunities to take advantage of the area since it was finished due to COVID, it was our first real use of the deck since we got the renovations done two years ago and it was a lovely warm evening with good company so a great night was had by all.

Marina, sounds perfect.
Made Mushroom risotto and folded through smoked trout that was a gift.
Ral is enjoying mini Xmas pads with TMX custard with Apple Brandy.

Finally put to good use Marina, it must have been wonderful to share with your staff. Handy having the main food supplier being right next door too.
Christmas has started early for Ral LOL.

I’m not surprised that Marina used locals to help cater for her Xmas party. Where their shop is located is a very diverse and interesting area.
I have made a pork casserole dish in SC. It is made with pork neck and Star Anise and a mix of ginger, onion and Chinese sauces.
The Chicken Liver Pate that I made yesterday has matured nicely. I was tempted to make one off Cookidoo but it was very complicated and my recipe is very simple. Couldn’t taste better.

A fish pie. I'm regretting this plan of having the oven on as it is going to be 40 here today. I like to cook the fish the day I buy it.

It won’t fit into the air fryer cookie? - ie presuming you have one.

Probably not, but I will be checking. I've had the oven on most of the afternoon doing bread and biscuits, so a bit more won't hurt.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I ended up popping it in the oven as it had been on all afternoon.

Last night’s dinner, copycat of what I had at a cafe for brunch on Saturday. This and a fruit sustagen smoothie will probably become my favourite meal.

Colourful and healthy Judy. Also you can obviously eat it which is the important thing.
