I've found some frozen fish in the freezer, so we are having that with chips and stir fried green veggies.

Lamb back strap with quince paste . Chopped Brussels sprouts bacon ginger with a few Cranberries and pumpkin seeds. I created the Brussel sprouts from two recipes , better than whole ones steamed .

We have run out of all the soups people had given us as well as all the food I has stocked up in the freezer on prior to my operation so it was Thai take away last night - a fabulous pad Thai for me, green curry with beef for DH.

The Chicken and Mushroom Pot Pie was extremely tasty so thought I should post this here. It’s not really a recipe.
Make a batch of SOS sauce.
Add as much cooked chicken as it will take. ( salmon or prawns )
Cook button mushrooms in EVOO, add to sauce and chicken.
Add a large handful of chopped parsley.
Add cream to thin out a little and dilute the taste of the SOS sauce.
Serve topped with pastry, potato or bread crumbs. Or as I did, over garlic bread.

Our favourite cafe - which just happens to be our next door neighbour - closes for good today so dinner will be whatever they have left at the end of the day.  Their food is always fresh and good quality and they will be sorely missed by many people up this end of our street.

Beef ragu with curly pasta ! Not the best ragu should turn the temp down in the first stage . More baby tartlets .
