It's a spicy Moroccan soup Amy and can be vegetarian or include lamb or beef. It is usually eaten to break the fast during Ramadan. It's very yummy  :)

Yes it is a moroccan soup, this one wasnt very spicy. I added rice to ds & he gave it an 8 out of 10. We thought it was delicious, I made it with 2 lamb shanks.

Thanks MF :) It sounds really good, and yours looks delicious Hally :D

We had Chicken Breasts in Tomato Sauce with Mushrooms (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=1111.0). It was very yummy, I even had seconds, which I don't usually do :-))

There's a TMX version of this soup in My Way of Cooking for anyone wanting to try it but not having a pressure cooker.  Farfallina has posted that recipe here.

I was looking at that recipe before, Amy, and I'm thinking about trying it, too. I've never really liked mushrooms, but I'm coming around a lot since getting my TMX. I've even added broccoli as a regular vegetable to our meals. I'm thinking of making cauliflower next... I try to eat healthy, but I've never really eaten a lot of different vegetables. In my family growing up it was always just peas, corn carrot & potatoes. I'm trying to make it different with DS, but I know that if I expect him to eat it I need to, too. So we're learning together... :-)  I was quite impressed at the supermarket the other day when he pointed to the broccoli and identified it by it's name.

I would highly recommend it Amanda :D I absolutely love mushrooms and didn't find them too strong in this dish, so it might be a good one for your tastes.
If you want to eat more vegetables but are still adjusting to the tastes, why not do a big batch of low-fat cheese sauce to pour over steamed vegetables? My mum always used to do that. Its a good way to get calcium too :)

Broccoli is excellent, one of the most nutritious vegetables you can eat ;) A gold star for DS knowing its name!! :D
