Macaroni & cheese with puréed cauliflower. Kids get to have their favourite tonight!

I have just put a Florida Chicken casserole in the slow cooker. I hope it goes okay, never tried it before

I made this today, the video shows 3 ways of cooking the same recipe. Of course I used my pc.
I steamed some broccoli florets to serve with but ended up stirring them through the mixture at the end before I divided it up between 2 baking dishes.
I think I would also like to add some green beans next time.
Also I used chuck steak instead of gravy beef.
I didn't add as much sour cream to the potatoes as stated, less than 2 tbs, but I'll leave that out next time and just have cheesy mash instead.
This made enough for me to divide between 2 baking dishes, each dish will serve 3 people, though I will increase the meat to 1kg next time.
The extra dish was allowed to cool, then wrapped well and put in the freezer for another night.

I cooked for 30 mins in the pc.

That looks really tempting Julie.
It's much nicer than our dinner tonight
On impulse yesterday, I bought the WW Pressure Cooker softcover book from the newsagent, so I decided to cook something from it tonight. I made the Beef tangine with spinach and olives. My DD who normally eats everything I put in front of her didn't like it , although she did eat most of it, and my DS hardly ate any of it. DH and I thought it was OK, but I won't make it again.
On the plus side, I did enjoy a much anticipated glass of red wine with it as it is no longer dry July, and the Chia loaf I baked rose really well.

What a shame ES, but sometimes it happens when trying something different. I wasn't so keen on the sour cream in with the potatoes and thankfully didn't add too much otherwise it would have spoiled the meal for me too.

I do all our cooking MF
Oh wait, except for scrambled eggs. My mum does the best scrambled eggs
I was invited over to a friend's house for dinner so I didn't get to try the Florida Chicken, but mum said it was really yummy. It had chicken thighs, onion, celery, capsicum, corn, courgette, orange juice, soy sauce, honey and stock in it. It smelled great, I was almost jealous that I didn't have any, but the Moroccan Lentil and Vegetable soup I had at my friend's house was absolutely delicious
