Slow cooked lamb chops in gravy with roast potatoes & kumara, steamed corn, carrot, brocolli & beans, and zucchini muffins.  :)

Astarra, how do you slow cook your lamb chops? I've been meaning to ask you for ages ;D

Tonight will be steak, potato wedges and cauliflower cheese :-))

Jamie Oliver's chicken in milk slow cooked.  First time I've tried this recipe so we will see how it goes - I love chicken in creamy garlic and lemon sauce so I have very high hopes 🙏

Carrot cake for dessert - have so many carrots to use.

I spray the slowcooker, then layer the chops in (usually end up with a double layer or whatever), spray the tops, then sprinkle with either Masterfoods lamb seasoning or lamb herbs, onion flakes and gravy powder. I then pour over about 1.5 - 2C total of liquid (water mixed with coke/wine or just water)  then turn onto low for however long. Always so moist and yum - just melts in your mouth.  :) And there is a yummy flavoursome garvy too!!
Love to hear how you like it if you try it!!  ;)

We're having homemade sausages. We used the kit I received for my birthday. It is a bit fiddly and does take two to do it. We cooked the leftover bits for a snack and it was nice.

I have a small George Foreman one Judy. I bought it very cheaply in Big W several years ago. It was to see if I liked slow cooking. I still have it and it's good for the 3 of us.

Astarra that sounds like a great easy dinner. What sort of chops do you use?

Good questions Wonder, thanks for asking. I would have just used lamb loin chops, but would be interested to hear what sort astarra uses :)

Forgot to post about dinner last night. I was told at 3:30pm that mum and SD were inviting SD's cousin and his wife around for dinner, I had never met these people before so I was really worried! Not to mention that we only had 3 pieces of steak. I found some more red meat in the freezer which I defrosted, and I cut the steak smaller so everyone could have a bit of both. I made a big bowl of homemade chips, which I wish I had photographed because they looked amazing! I had been going to do salad, but we didn't have enough salad veg for everyone so I did a big dish of cauliflower cheese instead. I made a mushroom sauce too, but I was a little disappointed because I didn't saute the onion long enough and it was still a little crunchy. All in all it was a pretty good meal though, and I think any little mistakes were forgiven when I brought DB's cake out ;)
It was very much a TGFT experience ;D
