Yes Judy it's good for them I think. Boys had their turn yesterday. Even DS (5) put dishes away while DS (14) dried. Team work here.

Made double quantity sweet & sour casserole/stew with steamed veg & potato last night so that we could have left overs tonight.  Had a group of friends here all day today so knew I wouldn't get much done except for lots of talk and laughter.  :D

slow cooked pork chili from spin a dinner - vacuumed up by DS21 - said 'very filling' when served with a salad and rice. Definitely do again and looks as if it will freeze well

Tenina's Chicken Salad with Vietnamese Dressing. I added cucumber and mung bean noodles. Delicious! DH wasn't particularly impressed, but DS 2 loved it.

I'd like to do it with prawns for a luncheon meal.  Just loved the dressing.
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

Pepper Steak pie and vegies.

Fresh grilled fish (DS has been fishing again) with home made chips/wedges, these are neither one thing or the other, and carrot and zucchini salad with a few extras thrown in.

I peeled and sliced some ginger and have parboiled it in the inner basket and now have it slowly stirring  :-: speed 1, in simple syrup at temp 90 to see how it works for candying this stuff.

I usually do batches that are much too large for the TMX but I had dug up a few plants last week and rather than bury the extras again, I decided to try this experiment.

After I have either success or failure, I will report back.

I posted this in the wrong topic.  Meant it for "What are you cooking today?"
