Asparagus risotto from UK - Fast & Easy cookbook. Very nice and great showcase for English asparagus. There is a YouTube film of it with recipe if anyone is interested in making it who doesn't have the book. I know asparagus not in season for most of you - but it is trying to be Spring like here in UK ... and so am I!

All-in-one spaghetti bog for tea. Really feeling the cold weather after our tropical holiday so needed something to warm us up.

Well I did this but made a few changes.
http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=5129.0
Firstly I had no chicken so used pork leg, didn't weigh it but enough for 3.
Added 3 cloves garlic, 2 carrots and 1 leek with the onion. Chopped and sautéed in TMX.
Used 25gm Dijon mustard, and 25 gm honey.
Then browned pork on hob, added in everything, leaving half cream. Brought up to simmer and put in slow oven of Aga as had to go out on the farm.
when it was ready I added rest of cream and another teaspoon of Dijon mustard, lots of black pepper and about 2T of chopped fresh (frozen) coriander as I just felt it was lacking something.
Been one of those days, the farrier never came, very unlike him. I couldn't go shopping in case he came... So had to adapt my meal to suit larder.
Made brons steamed garlic rice with pudding rice. Think I might try less oil next time.
Steamed cabbage on top, think I over did that slightly.
Still it was voted a hit, so that is good.
Also made these
http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=2899.0
with 50gms wholeml flour, 20 gms butter, and only 2 tsp traditional dried yeast.
I was going to make
http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=3595.0
this for pudding but as I couldn't go out I had no egg.
I picked 4 more stalks from the garden and made a rhubarb crumble. Will post recipe later.
Had to have Birds custard as no eggs for my custard sauce (posted already).
Think I should have cooked custard longer or turned heat up, not sure yet which, as thermy too new.
Phew enough of my ramblings.

Today I made a truly lovely meal using cubed lemon & garlic butterflied lamb, diced onion and bacon, good dollop of caramelised garlic paste, tinned toms and chicken stock and a good grind of black pepper. Supposed to cook in the oven for 1 1/2 hours, only took 25 mins in my PC, it was so delicious and tender, we are having left overs tomorrow.
Also made Jamie's Apple Pepper Pot Cake, (from Jamie's Great Britain), first dessert I've made for ages, and it was wonderful.

Cake looks good. Found recipe on google for pepper pot cake.
Did you use Thermy for caramel? If so please can you explain to new owner, thanks.

Thanks Droverjess. No the caramel was made in a large frypan as you put the apples in it in one layer to cook for a few mins before putting them on the base of the cake tin.

JuileO. Do not ever leave this forum. You just stay in the kitchen with your Thermomix and camera.
Thank you for listening.

Potato and leek soup- joint effort between my Thermo Chef and pressure cooker.
Dessert is custard and Nonomix's banana and choc chip cake.

For humans: my salmon and spinach pasta (slightly modified) with steamed vegetroubles.
For dog: leftover beetroot salad, an old frozen roast beef dinner I found in the freezer, and an out-of-date custard cup.
Happy tummies all around
