Hally, sometimes I just pour some cous cous into my casserole if it's a little too runny. It absorbs the excess liquid and just adds to a little  body to the meal. You don't even notice it in the end.

Thats an awesome idea ES! I might try it next time I have too much liquid in a casserole ;D

That is a good idea ES, I will try that for sure - thanks  :)

Tonight I'm home alone as my OH has gone off to the Adelaide Crows game.  I was supposed to be having left-over roast pork and veggies for dinner tonight, but I'm thinking I might have pancakes (you can eat what you want when you're home alone  ;D)

I have been so busy baking all afternoon I have forgot about feeding myself :-\

Jo Blo Bubbles is giving me a very disapproving look. He says I should take better care of myself... :-))

Maybe I will have a smoothie. Sounds good to me :D But I need to finish my baking first. I will post some photos on the other thread when I am finished. I am very happy with how things have turned out ;)

I spent all day in the garden today. I harvested all my butternut pumpkins that had taken over the garden and removed lots of weeds.  I've got the vege patch ready for some winter plantings. It's not very big as it used to be my DS 's sandpit, and it just has parsley and rainbow chard left in it now. I have mixed in compost from the garden I I now need to decide what to plant next. At the market last week there were some lettuce seedlings that were pale green with purple splodges, which are really tempting. Anyway, I digress....
I cooked roast chicken for dinner with roast veges as I am pretty tired now and wanted something that I could just bung in the oven and forget. It was delicious and I have cooked extra veges so I can make roasted pumpkin and vege soup for later in the week. Two meals for the price of one!
My Thermo Cheaf wasn't neglected though as my gravy was looking a little lumpy. It wasn't thickening so I got impatient and added more cornflour direct into the gravy. Stupid! Then I had the brilliant idea and bunged it into TC, cooked it at 80C at speed 4 for 2 minutes and Bob's your Uncle, I had delicious lump free gravy!

I had five grain porridge with blueberries ;D Took 2 mins in the microwave while TM was kneading biscuit dough, and easy to eat while trying to bake five things at once.
