Aww Amy, thank you but no photos tonight, only because it was dark by the time we sat down to eat and I haven't got my lights set up yet for the winter months.

Oh poopy! I love seeing your photos Julie :)

Well my all my food today  was a big hit. The lovely little boy would love to come & sleepover fr 2 nights in 2 weeks time. He has ADHD,, but I think/hope I cn cope.

H :)

Great work Hally. Thats really nice to hear :D

Dinner here was panfried gummy shark with vegetables in cheesy white sauce, accompanied by my VERY FIRST EVER successful TM bread ;D ;D ;D

After last night VEGETARIAN dinner, tonight is Ravioli pasta bake with bacon.

My leg of pork I cooked last night was given to us by a neighbour. It was terrible. Full of fat and bones, so was given to the dogs. We just had baked veges, steamed corn and beans for dinner.

Exercise is a dirty word... Every time I hear it, I wash my mouth out with chocolate

YUM Maddie!!!  :D
Dinner tonight: Chicken Drums with Roast potato and Kumara, steamed broc (TM), curried corn and carrot dish (TM), and Garlic Bread (TM). Oh and gravy of course. Just a very basic one as usual here!!!  :-[

Can someone please point me in the right direction for the curried corn & carrot dish.  I have done a search but can't find it.  Thanks.

Sorry mab, this is not a dish I have seen on our forum.  Maybe astarra did her own thing and could share the recipe with you.

Sure I'll share any recipe ...
CURRIED CORN AND CARROT DISH
Place 2 1/2 C chopped carrot
& 400g frozen corn in steamer basket.
..... 500gm water in TM, add steamer basket, varoma 30min sp2.
Tip out water reserving approx 50gm.

1 onion quartered into TM bowl, sp5 3sec, scrape down bowl and add 2T butter - 60 deg, sp1, 2min. Add 2T cornflour (if you use maize or corn cornflour this dish is GF) 1/2t curry powder, 1t salt and 1t sugar, 1c milk and reserved liquid. 100 deg, sp1, 5 min.
Add carrot and corn, mix in with spatula. Scrape into ovenproof dish, cook 180 deg in oven approx 30 min. (This is not absolutely neccesary as it is all cooked anyway, but I find it handy to make earlier in the day then heat closer to dinner time.)
This dish freezes well.

I have placed a copy of this recipe in the Vegetarian section astarra so that it won't get lost - JD
