Tonight I made Beef Rendang (from the EDC book) but used chicken instead of beef. I only used half a chilli. It was a little bit spicy but both kidlets ate it and my 6 year old went back for more. Yay!

Only three of us home for dinner this evening and fish was on the menu.  Very proud to report that we tried the Varoma for the first time and had a success, preparing CP's ginger steamed fish and Asian veg with rice [url][/http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=6031.0url].  I don't have a bamboo steamer so just placed the fish and veg directly into the Varoma.  I used sea perch fillets as they weren't too thick and i was worried about getting the timing wrong. The sauce was really nice - this was a winner and will become a regular in our house, thanks CP.  Don't know why I was tentative about trying the Varoma, very easy - off to look for tomorrow night's menu in the all-in-one area, and trying to resist the temptation to make something naughty (but yummy) for dessert on this cold wintry Melbourne night!

Great pics Maddy - I made Nic's Peanut Chicken, unfortunately the resulting pics did not do this delicious meal justice (the chicken looked undercooked in the pic which definitely was not the case).

Been a bit down this week with a cold, so today I made one of my favourite comfort foods - cottage pie.  Threw heaps of different vegies into the pot and it tasted great.  I think I feel better already!  ;D

Great pic Julie - looks far more appealing than the left over peanut chicken on out plates tonight.  :)  :)
