A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

Just remembered that I'd posted these and I did try them in the TMX. My dog adored them!

Spot's Golden Cheese Dreams

A nice elastic dough which makes a golden-flecked, chewy treat. Makes about 60 (using small K-9 Cutter - Dog biscuit shape).

3 cups whole wheat flour ( I've used other flours, such as 7 grain or spelt)
2 tsps garlic powder
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup shredded cheese
1 egg, beaten
1 cup milk

1. Combine  flour and garlic powder in *:,  .
2. Gradually pour in vegetable oil, cheese, beaten egg and milk until well blended.
3. Knead dough  on  :: until elastic. Tip out.
4. With a rolling pin, roll dough to 1/2" thickness
5. Cut with K-9 Biscuit Cutter and place on a lightly greased baking sheet.
6. Bake 25 minutes at 400°F.
7. Cool on a rack and store, at room temp., in a container with a loose-fitting lid.

Mail generally takes ages from here if it has to go to Perth.... :-\ Hopefully it'll arrive in the next couple of days.

Mail in general takes ages in this country!!! I used to get more emails about when parcels were posted etc when I was selling on eBay than anything else. People just didn't realise that it can take 10 days for parcels from WA to the East Coast. (the Nullabour is a loooooooonnnnnnggggg stretch lol) I ended up going to eparcel so they could do their own tracking  ;) ;) :D :D

As my picture shows, I've suddenly become younger :-)  DD was of the opinion that her picture should be here, not mine!
