Of course you are Gertie... you better stay home then, there are no alcoholic beverages in this household ;)

Thought I'd bump this up, made it tonight and the kids loved it.  I'd promised them sweet and sour noodles ages ago and done nothing.  This had the ingredients that best fited my idea of what it should be like, and It was a winner.  I added a julienned carrot and zucchini to up the veg content and served it over rice noodles.

I'm looking for dishes I can double up and freeze.  This looks like it would be a great hit with the children would it freeze OK?

Thanks Judy, I'll add this to my list of things to try.  Got to get my food bill down which means cheaper cuts of meat, less waste and meals in the freezer for those nights when only something already made will do!

Thanks for this recipe. I made it tonight but I left out the ginger and garlic to keep my girls happy and I also added a carrot and zucchini. I found it a bit bland, probably from the lack of garlic and ginger, but my girls liked it and ate it all up with no complaining, so that counts as a success in my book  ;D

I agree. You can also sprinkle it with something for yourself.
