I'm going to admit something terrible...I have never actually had a waffle So I was wondering if someone could tell me how they compare to pancakes?

I just got a cheap waffle maker from 'Chickenfeed' $14.99 - only makes 2 at a time but as I have never even tried a waffle either I didn't want to spend too much. Miss 5 has been asking for them in her lunchbox as some of the other kids have them (have no idea if she has seen sweet or savoury ) I also got a mini doughnut maker for the same price at the same time Seems like I have a few recipes to find and try....
