Judy they are really wonderful. You are so clever. The only arty/crafty thing I can do is embroidery which I love, and knit. I even got evicted from art in first year high school I was so hopeless.

Yes they are all Geoff's ideas and it takes him many weeks to complete the 5 needed.  I sometimes help him out at the end by sticking some of the decorations and features on for him so that he can get on with the body of the next one.  He takes over my dining room table - not a good look but what the heck, it is all for a good cause. He doesn't think they are very good but the kids love them and I think he does a great job.

Judy,  tell Geoff that these are just beautiful.  You can see just how much effort goes into them.  How does he decide what he will make?   I agree with Maddy,  they are too nice to smash up.   Make sure you take pictures of all of them.

There are 3 girls and 2 boys Chookie so for my 2 he knows GD loves horses and I came up with the idea of a truck for the little fellow.  He is currently working on a ship for the eldest grandson of his and the girls will end up with elves or a fairy or something like that at this stage - things could change along the way though.  Yes, will certainly be posting the rest when they eventuate, the ship is not far off.

WOW JD. THey are fantastic. Tell Geoff they are 1st class and he should be really proud. I bet the Grandchildren just love them and they will create wonderful memories for the kids.

Wow Judy these are beautiful.Tell Geoff that I think they are masterpieces.What lucky grandchildren to have such a thoughtful Granddad.We have probably put Geoff under pressure now knowing the forum are waiting for the picture of the final three.

Thank you all for your lovely comments.  I got Geoff to come to my computer so that I could show him what you have all posted.  He doesn't come into 'my world' very often but certainly knows lots of your names from things I tell him.  I left him to scroll whilst I got on with tea and he now has first hand knowledge of these wonderful people I chat to every day and can see why I love the forum so much.  I'm sure the postings also gave his ego a little boost as well and that is not a bad thing.  I would love to be able to report back to him down the track that so and so made a pinata for their child/grandchild too, inspired by his work.  Thanks again guys
