do the peanuts need to be roasted or raw?

I just use store bought roasted and salted peanuts

i ran out of time (was going to make peanut butter & chocolate brownies for our fete) but will give it a try next time!

I find the best peanuts are raw, then soak in a bit of salt water for 24 hours, then dehydrate (oven, low as possible with door open a bit till they are done and crispy). They are delicious as is, or as butter.
