I need some great TMX salad ideas for Christmas
« on: December 01, 2010, 07:37:45 pm »
Hi everybody
I have willingly volunteered myself to do salads for the family Christmas this year.  I know you will understand the 'willingly' part - TMX makes such an easy job of great salads huh?
Anyhow, I have just about worn out the old coleslaw and beetroot salad throughout the year and would love some new inspirations.  Anybody got any favourite, yummy and easy TMX salads they would like to share?
thanks so much!
Susan

Broccoli Salad is another good one as is the curried pasta salad that is on here as well :)

Cyndi's coleslaw recipe is a different recipe - we prefer that one now. It is really different with currants and sunflower seeds in it.

Sweet Potato salad from

http://thermorecipes.blogspot.com/2010/09/summer-is-coming.html I've only done 1/3 of the recipe here for the 2 of us.

What about the potato and chicken salad from the festive booklet?  I haven't made it yet, but plan too.  :)

Moroccan carrot salad in the vegetarian book is my favourite!

Could I pretty please bother somebody to PM this recipe to me?  I do a carrot one but it has sultanas and coconut in it and would love to try a different one.

thanks so much!

Does anyone know if any of the above mentioned salads can be made a day in advance (besides the pasta salad)?  We are heading to my family's beach house on Christmas Eve and I am hoping to take everything prepared for the big day. I noticed some have apple in them and wondered if it goes brown?  :)

I find the apple does go brown Chelsea so I'd omit it and if you really want to include it, just chop it up and add it just before serving it.
