But from what I have seen on ebay, the people that have sold them are pointing out clearly that they are a toy!  I wonder if they are still being bid on mistakenly, or are there some really spoilt kids?

Can't remember but it was mentioned in a thread somewhere, think they were an incentive buy and around 80 or 100 euros?

That price is crazy!!! We have one here that thankfully was a gift. You really can only mix milk in it.  The motor is run on batteries and very weak.  Personally, I might buy one for $50 but no more than that. It's just a novelty thing.

My friends and I were doing canteen duty at school a few weeks ago and as usual, the kids were playing with the toys in the Out of School Hours Care room. My DS (who is 5 and may be even more in love with the TMX than me...) picked up a toy coffee maker for the stove (you know the sort that looks like two bits the same stacked on top of each other?) and he very excitedly says to his friend (who also has a TMX at home) "Look Ardy, it's a Thermomix!!!"

My distributor would be so proud... of course this is also the same child who, quite seriously, asked his grandfather if he had paid too much for his glasses, because next time he should go to Spec Savers....

LOL Kerryn.
What did his grandfather say? Maybe need to keep him away from adverts, lol.
But good to see the next generation of consultants are getting ready.
