I usually look at others' trolleys with envy - they've got nice stuff in theirs like wine or gin and mine is full of weetabix and nappies!  ;D

I've done the cloth nappy route but with three children, 2 with special needs, washing nappies just pushes me over the edge  :o

The funny thing is that a lot of people DON'T believe that cigarettes are that bad for you.  I've spoken to pregnant women that tell me their midwife has told them that one or two a day won't harm.  We all KNOW that that's rubbish but the midwives can't tell them the truth for fear of alienating them ..... yes, truly!

I do get p*ssed when I see what's clearly a family trolley filled with fizzy pop and processed, cheap junk.  I want to haul out the pop and tell them if they didn't bother to buy that they could afford decent quality food.  A lot of people simply don't see the importance of food.

Chocolate actually has endorphins in which is the happy hormone, I'm pretty sure anyway.

May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Yep chocolate is my vice too.. My hubby, usually once a month, will sometimes buy me chocolate because it makes me more bearable  ;D ;D.  I do try to make chocolate things in my Thermomix to give me a fix but sometimes is just has to bea block of chocolate.  Funny though I use to love cabury and lindt but now it has to be green and blacks, the other is far to sweet for me now.

I am the same earth mumma.  Cadbury just tastes far too sickly now.  I never thought I would ever say that!  ;D

Chelsea I wonder sometimes if my taste buds have changed since I got my TM.  I know sometimes think I am going through a lot of sugar but there are things that BTM (before Thermomix) I use to love and now they just taste super sweet. Like the chocolate and even quality shop bought gelato is too sweet.  Can't stand most shop bought cookies and any soft drink is just plain blah  :P :P Jam too is yuck. Thats another thing that I love about TM food you are in control of how much sugar you add and often I find I can reduce the sugar amounts by at least 1/4 and still have a lovely result.

I don't find the sugar problem as much (probably because I don't reduce TMX recipes by more than about 1/3) but we do have the problem with salt. Everything we taste that is bought is so salty. it's usually when we are out so all we can do is drink lots of water as we eat.

Many things I used to enjoy seem to taste "fake" now.  Things like store bought cookies, cakes and bread.  I seem to use a lot of sugar too EM but I think that's because I make almost everything from scratch now (like you do :)).  I wish I had the salt problem Cookie.  I love salty things and really crave them.  :-)) ;D
