Mmm, will have to think about whether to buy it or wait for you girls to convert some of his recipes. I could start a book shop myself with all my cooking books and that is after I got rid of at least half of them a while back.
I received the Bakerella Cake Pops book just before Christmas - great book isn't it?

OMG Maddy that is so tempting.
But not being a cake/dessert person would I actually make them?
That cover picture makes me want to though.
So are the recipes hard to do?

I've seen these on another forum, but they just sound too sweet for me. They look gorgeous, though and would be a great talking point at a party.
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

I had a go at making the Rudolph ones for Christmas day.  They definatley were sweet (I made mine using Brownies) but they looked fantastic!

Thanks Maddy, will taste the first lot made with the oreos today (hopefully, if there are not too many kids down there to have first pick). I think they are more suited for children's parties than for adults.

It might be too late for those if you who have already purchased, but just before Christmas I got Jamie's book for $19.00 at Target. Didn't realise I had got such a bargain until I thought I would like another copy (the first was a Christmas pressie for someone) for myself.  I went back but they had sold out.  Now that Christmas is over a few more bargains might pop up.  I did have a quick peek and liked a lot of what was in there, except he does use a microwave for some of his cooking and I don't have one.  He also likes to use a far bit of pancetta and I'm not a fan of anything pig.

Let you know when I get the book in 71 days  ;)
I too think the cake/icing mixture is too sweet......that's why I like the oreo mix.
I'm basically ordering it for the decoration factor.

I've been enjoying watching Jamie the last few nights and agree that his recipes would make use of the TMX. I had a look around for the book when I went shopping but haven't been able to find it. May wait a while before I order it from Book Depository.

I bought mine for $27.95 at Costco in Melbourne. Last time I was there, they still had copies left.

Mummy/daughter time lately is made up of watching Nigella Express (finished now) and now Jamie's 30 minute meals. Then we cook together. DD9 says, "These people need a Thermomix Mum!!" They do use a food processor for most of their meals and the Thermomix makes their "fast" meals even quicker.  ;)
