new to thermomix
« on: December 21, 2010, 10:05:52 am »
Hi I just purchased my thermomix about a month ago.  At first I thought I made the wrong decision as everything I made didn't turn out right but now after getting used to it and changing some methods in the recipes (eg cooking times for soups seem to take longer than in recipe) I love it.  My soup never gets stuck or burnt to the bottom of the bowl like it did in my saucepan and I think it is great not having to stir - can do heaps of things and not worry about it.   :-))

I am always making bread rolls and pizza bases are so easy now. I just made lemonade today and my 6 year old boy likes it which is great.   I am using it everyday now.  I am glad I found this forum to view recipes and see what everyone thinks of them before I try them.

I still have lots of learning to do but am enjoying it.

Hi Fina71, welcome to the forum.  You sound like me when I first started out, wasn't happy with anything much but once you learn where you went wrong you start to get the hang of it and it is onwards and upwards from there.  I am amazed at how some people take delivery of their machine and get stuck straight into cooking and baking without any mishaps. It is the simplicity of just making a drink every now and then which really brings it home to you just how versatile the machine is. I also love making lemonade.

Hi and welcome Fina71. I'm so glad you've got over the initial hiccoughs of owning the machine. Where are you from?
