Thank you!!
« on: January 01, 2011, 07:51:39 am »
Thank you so much for all the tips here in this forum!  I am still learning my way around - and really not sure if I am using this site correctly - but I will get there!

Today I have made a BBQ sauce (for our ribs) - made chookies bread roll recipe - but made baguettes which I aim to turn into garlic bread - (peeled the garlic - LOVE THAT TIP - no more smelly fingers!!).  Also made avocado butter to spread on our roasted corn - and am now airing out the bowl (also love that tip!!! - BBQ sauce very smelly!!) - oh and did I mention made the garlic butter (from my own butter).

Thanks guys - can't wait to learn more from you all - I will try and post my recipes either here or on my blog tomorrow (it is still holiday time!!)
 :)  :)  :)

Welcome Cate! Glad you're enjoying using your TMX. Put your blog URL in your siggy so we can check it out!
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

Well done. I'm glad that your TMX is bringing you so much pleasure.

Megan  what type of ribs did you buy ? I usually buy the American style ribs

This is what I do

Cut ribs
Place in a clean plastic bag and add

Bbq sauce
Chili sauce
Tomato sauce
Any type of mustard
Honey
Oyster sauce
Hoi sin sauce
Soy sauce

All of these work together very well or just 2 sauce will do

Give the bag a nice massage lol

Place bag in the fridge leave to marinade for a few hours I do mine over night

I cook mine covered for 5 hours or more on very low heat
Uncover for the last hour you can turn the heat up to dry up all of the marinade
i don't need a recipe i'm italian
