Salutations from Portugal

Hello! My name is Sonia and I'm a "Thermomixer" from Porto, Portugal.
I have my Bimby (as we call it here) for nearly 2 years. I was very resistant to the idea, however I started visiting the Portuguese forum and saw the true potential of the machine and bought.
It is a very expensive machine, but although I don't use it as much as I should (living alone makes eating junk food a lot easier), I love it whenever I do. I love putting stuff in and dashing off to the computer or to take care of my cats or to any craft I'm up to at the moment.
I signed in because I found this forum looking for orange jam (I was making jams to offer as Christmas gifts) and want to see more of what the other side of the world eats.

Welcome BimbyPT! I am sure you will find lots of fabulous recipes here. My husband LOVES Portuguese food so if you have any traditional portuguese recipes converted to the thermomix, I would love to try them out!

Hi BimbyPT, welcome to the forum. We love to wean people off junk food here because cooking is so quick and easy that hopefully you will be inspired by all the lovely recipes here. One of your fellow countrypeople, isi, has posted some lovely recipes and we all rave about her bread recipes. Hopefully you can also post some of your favourite recipes too.

Thank you all for the warm wellcome.
I am terrible at recipes, I'm the "making up" kind of cook, but I will share whenever I try anything interesting

Welcome to the forum.
I am also a fan of Portuguese foods. I have followed David Leite's postings for years - now at
Leite's Culinaria.com
. Not just Portuguese but many wonderful foods.
I think one of my recipes is still in his recipe archives.
I do hope that you will be able to convert some of the traditional recipes to the Thermomix.
