Busy couple of days........good for food. No exercise other than walking to school and back today. My knees are really hurting, I think that maybe pump is not the best thing for them which is a shame as it was fun and I could feel my muscles burning lol. Planning a walk tomorrow so must go to sleep.

I have done fairly well this weekend  ;D food wise although no exercise. I am a bit worried about my knees and am going to go to the doctors to get it checked out this week. I think you might be right about arthritits JD  ??? I am hoping it doesn't mean I will need to learn how to swim a lot stronger than I can. I am terrible at laps. Anyway I am hesitant to ride the bike at the moment until I see a doctor about them. They are really sore and I can't put weight on them when I kneel down which cant be a good sign. I am planning on walking in the mornings which won't burn as much as riding but at least is something.

Meagan - have you investigated the use of Nordic Poles for walking?   My physio recommended them to me as I have back and leg problems which affect my mobility and they've been amazing.   They take some of the strain, help propel you forwards and also make the exercise more aerobic as you are using your arms as well as your legs.   Apparently you use almost double the energy to walk with poles than without...

Hope things are ok Meagan. DD walks up and down 10 flights of stairs at work (quicker than the lift apparently) and she has done something to her knee. Fortunately she works where she can get it examined for free.
This morning I decided to go for a walk as it was fairly cool. I was really good until the warmer weather came. It's amazing how good it makes you feel. I walk for about 30 minutes, but hate doing it when it is hot and I WON'T get up before 6.30 to do it. Retirement must have some advantages.

We're both fair-weather walkers Cookie.... but you prefer not to walk when it's too hot.   Chance would be a fine thing for me to avoid heat here - I just don't like walking when it's cold and wet   :D :D    I do envy you your climate but guess I'd find something to complain about if I had to live it 24/7

Very true Katya. We set out this morning at 7.20am. Blue skies. We had gone about half a kilometre and DH said he felt hot and I felt really hot. We had hats and sunglasses on. We decided that it would be a short walk, I felt guilty but I felt hotter.!

I haven't been walking the past couple of days.  I have been tired and needing the extra time in bed. I might get back into it tomorrow. I know how you feel about the weather Cookie.  It is awful walking in the heat with the sun beating down on you. We don't get many days like it down here in Tassie, but I tend to stay indoors when we do.  :)

Lucky dog CC, expect that sad look on Wednesdays that dogs give you when they miss out on their walk though   :( :(

I agree CP63. You do need to walk before 7. I usually manage to drag myself out of bed about then. I'm really feeling the heat at the moment. I don't know why. Perhaps it is a little more humid than it has been.(perhaps it's my age :'() We have aircon but I try not to turn it on too early or if I am going out. Perhaps I should choose a couple of movies and go and freeze at the movies.
Roll on the cooler weather.

Walked laps at the pool tonight  ;D DH was happy to put the boys to bed so I went before they went to sleep. Really needed some time out after a long day today. Food was pretty good today. Still haven't made it to the GP yet hopefully some time this week  :-))
