Annabelle (tm31) arrived yesterday and I made choc mousse yuuum! then for dinner I made beef n beer with peas. And served with the creamiest easiest mash in the world!! I didn't even peel the potatoes! OMG this is great!

Wow!  I'll have to try making the mash and leaving the skin on.

I'm making smoked cod patties today so it shouldn't matter if it has a bit more texture.

Thanks for the great idea.

That's good news virginiaqda! I think yours is the only Thermomix with a female name!
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

Well done. My family don't like mash from the TMX so I've rarely tried it.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Glad your mash turned out ok, I didn't quite have the 1kg amount of potatoes they said to use in the EDC, (about 920gms), but forgot to cut back a bit on the liquid, so ended up with a bit sloppy mash, another lesson learnt. Also in my EDC it doesn't say to use   :-: so it was obviously cutting my spuds up more  as it was also cooking them, so by the time the cooking time had been reached, they were already quite  mushy in the bowl.
