Lamington recipe from the Thermomix blog - review
«

The recipe can be found here
http://www.recipecommunity.com.au/recipes/lamingtons/17035
I sent this as the recipe for my most recent newsletter.
The sauce is very sweet (a lot of sugar!!) I did have some left over.
The sponge is fantastic, really easy to make and very light. it would more than likely work with jam and cream in it too.
I hope the picture works
4.5/5
Happy (early) Australia day everyone

just a little tip - make your cake the day before its required so it doesn't absorb too much of the icing/sauce.

Made these for Australia Day and they turned out really well. I only used 400 g sugar with a bit less water to compensate for the lack of mass. Still had a little bit of icing left over. The sponge is lovely.

This forum has everything. When cutting scooby doo cake, i had a lot of off cuts. I used my bone cooke ciutter & froze the cake bones. Didnt want to ice them as we have the cake & cupcakes but found this.
So will make the laminton sauce for my bones.
Thank you, gotta love my TM & this amazing forum
yay.

Thanks CC - just had a look - did you notice it was originally up on 27/10/2010 and then changed on 2/1/2013 - what would that mean? Did someone amend the recipe?
