Requesting a recipe for Chicken Ala King
« on: January 28, 2011, 04:53:45 pm »
Hiya

I love the Thermomix, best cooking tool I have ever had.

Has anyone tried to do a 'Chicken Ala King' recipe in the Thermomix yet.  If so, would appreciate if you can please post it as I am dying to try.

Many thanks :)

Lucy

There's one in the Canadian recipe book Lucy, I will pm it to you. Welcome to the forum.

I make chicken a la king, and tuna a la king, and mushroom a la king (you name it!) in the tmx a fair bit, as it's so easy!  I haven't seen a recipe for it in a book - I just developed my own.  See how you go with the one JD mentioned, but if you want mine let me know.  :)

Lucy & LMT, I sent the Canadian recipe up to QuirkyJo for her to compare it with the one she makes.  She sent me a draft of her recipe and I made Tuna a la King for lunch - it was lovely and doesn't include canned soup so may be a lot easier to make especially if you are going to make your own 'canned soup'.  She will do her recipe for herself again and make notes re quantities she uses so I suggest you hang on a bit and have a look at the recipe Jo is going to post, hopefully not too far down the track.

I'll make it for dinner tonight to check the amounts (I tend not to measure!  ;) )

We had roast turkey for lunch, so I'll just use the cooked turkey meat, so this time it will be 'turkey a la king'!
