Trying to stay calm myself.  My family is spread between Gordonvale, the Northern Beaches and Kuranda.  So far, none of them have chosen to leave home.  Although my father is currently not answering phone calls or texts.  :-\

Hope everyone is as prepared as they can be.  Stay safe and see you on the other side.  xx

I'm sure he is just busy preparing Ceejay. Sometimes it is worse being away and worrying. :-* :-*

We're just south of Cairns. Everything is tied down so I distracted our house guests daughter by letting her to cook in the TM. She loved it and now we have some great snacks for later in the day. Not terribly healthy snacks, but who am I to argue on a day like today. Stay safe everyone else in FNQ.

Well, we went fine - still have a roof, kids slept through the worst of it thankfully! The sound of the wind last night was scary - I've been through a few cyclones & this was the scariest! But although it looks a little messy outside it's not bad here. Still rain & high wind. Tully was worst hit, lost roofs, etc. Cairns wasn't hit too bad either, but it still may flood.  :)
