New TMX owner
« on: February 07, 2011, 09:36:38 am »
Hi Everyone,
Thought I should introduce myself.  I have been a member here for about a year but only just took the plunge and purchased my TMX.  It arrived 4 days ago and I'm on a steep learning curve!

Hello helsbels, welcome at last as an owner. Did being a member of this forum for so long help you in any way or was it still all a bit daunting when you opened the box  ;)  Have you been actively browsing this forum getting ideas all that time, printing out recipes etc - you should have a tidy pile if you were doing that.  Have fun, you will come to know your machine in no time at all and enjoy it like the rest of us.

Hi Judy,
Thanks for the welcome!  I joined the forum when I first heard about the thermomix and after browsing here contacted head office for a demo to see for myself if it was as good as it sounded!  Then it took me 12 months to convince myself it would be worth the money.  I have 3 young children so budgeting was an issue!  I attended a friend's demo in December and the 9 month interest free period sold me!  I've popped into the forum many times over the last year but haven't printed anything out yet!  I've alreaady made some plum jam and vegetable stock as well as shortbread and a few meals.  Loving it so far.  Tomorrow I'm making butter!

Hi and welcome to the forum helsbels - but even more exciting to the world of TMX - you will not regret your purchase decision and your family will love it.  :)
