Help!!!
« on: February 17, 2011, 10:56:14 pm »
I took delivery of my "baby" this morning. So far have made poppy seed rolls, apple and cinnamon crumble, and pork loin with savoy cabbage and mushrooms with new potatoes. All divine!. The recipe book looks good and will work my way through it, but would appreciate as many tips and recipes as I can find, as some recipes are limited due to ingredients/personal tastes etc...and I have a problem thinking outside the box! I am really interested in making yoghurt but don't want to go to the expense of buying a Thermomix insulated bowl, as I feel I should use what I have without more expense. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Think the yogurt will work in any container just 2l one. I found a tupperware on in my cupboard have not used it yet. Think you can just leave it in the jug as well. Have a look on here...heaps of tips. :)

Welcome to the forum c4c, you did really well on your first day!  Check out the yoghurt thread here http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=2302.0.  Some have success, others not so lucky.  You will find so many lovely recipes on the forum, have a browse and try the ones with lots of comments and reviews first - you can't go wrong. Have fun.

Welcome to the forum C4C.You have certainly been busy cooking up a storm in your new TM.I'm afraid I don't make yoghurt,no one eats it besides me, although I do smuggle the odd spoonful into recipes :-))

My DH doesn't like it either CC but I put it into his smoothies and he is none the wiser.

Thank you all so much for your kind responses. Today, all I managed to make was soup...but it was delicious, nonetheless. I attempted cupcake mixture, but found it all a bit messy and actually found it easier to use the old fashioned mixer and bowl!!!! It will all come in time.
