Thermomix is taking over my family

I have now had my TM for around 6 weeks and cant live without it. My sister's friend was the first person to mention the word Thermomix. I had never heard of this machine before and when I found out the price I knew I would never be interested in a machine like this unless it cooked, cleaned and looked after the kids as well. (We all wish)
But then my sister got the bug and had to have one. She received her TM before Christmas and I watched with amazement with what it could do. I started doing Internet searches and could feel the bug grabbing hold, I knew there was no going back and decided to go for it, the worst part was the wait for it to arrive as I ordered the TM between Christmas and new year while everyone was on holiday, but finally it arrived and I love it.
But then it was my Mother who also got the bug and she now has her TM too, and my Sister is about to become a TM Consultant as well.
So Thermomix is definitely taking over my Family in a big way.

LOL Dede!! I too thought it should clean the house and run the kids to and from school for that price!! But I too began to research on the net and slowly, the more I researched it, the more I felt I just had to have one!! Have fun!

We will have to think of a collective noun to describe a group of TM31 users

That is very exciting for you dede. You can bounce ideas odd each other.

dede how wonderful and great you are all using it....my parents bought one last october and use it now and then but dont seem to be getting into it..i even got them signed up on this forum but they never seem to come on..cant drag a horse to water right and its sad as if they dont use it then its kind of a waste. It comes down to their consultant a bit..she wasnt that great and I think left a sour taste in their mouth with her demo and not kinowing that much and definately doesnt know about this forum..Its great yoçu have each other to bounce ideas and help each other..im a bit far away to help my parents unfortunately..maybe they will get game and be more active on the forum but they arent big on forums, and computres in general

That's a bit sad Frozzie, I know that between myself my sister and my mum we are always unconsciously encouraging each other to cook. When one of us tries a new recipe we tell each other about it and then we crave to make the same thing which is great. The TM is a common talking point between the 3 of us.

it is sad dede but oh well.....great that you guys are there to share and encourage each other..yes passing on recipes that you have enjoyed is a good thing..i would not have used it so much I dont think if it wasnt for this forum as I only have one girlfriend who doesnt use hers that much and a neighbour who uses it alot more but doesnt seem to share in recipes lol so for me this forum is it..I havent heard from my consultant since the purchase except for hte odd email telling me about promos for sales etc ie bring in more clients for her which doesnt interest me at all considering her lack of follow up..THANK YOU FORUM AND ITS LOVELY MEMBERS!! Love you all, your recipes, help and support and not to mention invaluable guidance in unknown areas...

That's great, Dede!! My mum is getting more and more addicted now - we got her one for Christmas. It helps that I've done demos at her place a few times when people didn't want to have them at their's - her house is a bit of an 'open house'... so she's seeing a lot and getting inspired more each time, which is great!! So there's three of us in the family with tmx's, plus LOTS of friends with them!!
The latest to buy one is the 19 yr old son of my friend - he's moved out of home into a flat, and knew he'd miss his mum's tmx, so he bought his own! It's great!! His friend's tease him a bit, but he's winning them over with his cooking! I think he'll have the girls lining up at the door - what a catch - a nice young guy who can cook, and has a Thermomix!
