Hi I received my thermomix yesterday and last night just had to use it so i whipped up orange sorbet.  My hubby let me buy without seeing it so i made him stand and watch and he said he was impressed when i asked him what he thought.  So i went shopping today and bought all the ingredients for the week.  Whipped up a casserole tonight and made focaccia to have with it.  For my first attempt at any type of bread i must say i was so proud and my kids got to see how bread is really made.  I am loving this can't wait to cook tea tomorrow.  Thank you to everyone for there recipes i have been browsing here for a couple of weeks deciding whether it was worth buying one so this forum has helped in my decision and have picked a couple of recipes to try also.
Hope to talk to you soon
God i love my new toy :D

Hi Cattro, welcome to the forum.  Nice to hear you have impressed the family with your first efforts - bigger and better things to come I am sure. First attempts at bread being successful - that is wonderful, it took me ages to get it right  :-))  Have fun and continue to let us know what you are cooking - I particularly like the 'What are you cooking today' and "What's for dinner tonight' threads on here.

thank you everyone for the warm welcome!  Well have used my thermomix every night.  The second night i cooked honey mustard chicken which i found recipe on here and everyone loved it.  Last night i cooked chicken, leek and corn pie from the budget busters cookbook and it was a hit.  I put in individual ramekins for something different.  Am going to attempt normal bread if i can find the whole wheat grain but my consultant said buckwheat can be used also.  Again thank you to you all

Welcome to the Forum cattro. Hope you have fun with all the recipes available.  Don't stress out if you can't get the flour you want,  Just substitute it with another flour ,  or add LSA or rolled oats.  Add a fraction more dried yeast.  All your study of the recipes is certainly paying off.
