Judy Dawn's Stir Fry Meat, Veggies and Noodles

I've copied Judy's recipe to here so it's easier to find:
Thought I'd better get cracking and contribute to this thread. If we all add at least one all-in-one recipe, imagine how many we will end up with. This one is a combination of the Aussie Meat Pie filling in the meat cookbook with steamed vegies and hokkien noodles.
STIR FRY MEAT, VEGIES & NOODLES.
Handful of Italian parsley
2 cloves garlic
1 onion, halved
1 tspn veg oil
1 tblspn cornflour
270g stir fry strips beef, pork or chicken
1 tbspn worchestershire sauce
1 - 2 tbspns soy sauce
1 tbspn fish sauce
100g sliced mushrooms
125g water
85 beans, sliced on the diagonal
110g cauli flowerettes
75g carrot, sliced in batons on the diagonal
40g snow peas sliced thinly on the diagonal
220g thin hokkein noodles
Firstly, prepare the vegies and place in the steaming basket. Hardest vegies on the bottom (leave the snow peas out at this stage).
Place the parsley in the TM bowl and chop 3 sec/speed 7. Set aside.
Place garlic, onion and oil into TM bowl and chop for 3 sec/speed 7.
Place the steaming basket in and saute onion and garlic for 5 mins at varoma temp on speed 1.
Remove the steaming basket, add parsley, beef, sauces, mushrooms, cornflour and 125g boiling water. Place the steaming basket back in.
Cook 10 mins/varoma temp/speed 1/reverse.
At this stage place the hokkein noodles and the snow peas in the thermosaver and pour boiling water over to cover. Leave 2 minutes then tease the noodles to separate. Drain the water and set the noodles aside.
Remove the vegies at the 10 minute mark and add to the noodle mixture.
Continue cooking the meat for 2 mins/100o/speed1/reverse.
Add to the thermosaver, rinse the bowl out with a couple of tablespoons of water and add it to the meat and noodles, giving it a good tossing.
This meal made 3 servings for this household but you can add double quantity of hokkein noodles and fill the steaming basket full of whatever vegies you want to use to stretch the meal further.

Being big eaters of stir fry, just had to try this one. Great dish, only felt it needed something more so added about 1 dspn of Hoisin Sauce. (available in the Asian section of grocery stores) which I feel just gave it that extra something.

Good one pumpkin pie. Been a while since I did that one and obviously when Caroline transfers recipes the photo doesn't go along for the ride.

Nope - didn't know how to copy and paste it
Do you think you could add it, Judy? It would be great if you could.

I haven't got it on file Caroline, always delete photos after posting them. I can't even find the original recipe of mine on here to see if I can somehow transfer the picture from that, where did you find it? Do recipes get deleted from where they were originally when you transfer them?

Hmmm, I'm not sure Judy - I'm very new to this. I offered to lend a hand so that this category could get up and running and was given moderator rights so I could transfer recipes to this category. I just clicked the 'move topic' button thinking that everything happily moved to the new category, leaving a clear trail behind it. Perhaps I did something wrong
I'm very sorry if I did.
Actually, I just went rather worriedly to the other 'move topics' I did to see if they'd lost their pictures too - but all the ones I looked at are fine. So I'm mystified
Oh - unless yours wasn't actually a 'move topic' but one of the copy and pastes I did from a longer post? I'm off to see if it was, because if so I can link to the picture there (here's hoping...)

Yeee Hah! Yes, that's what I'd done - I'd copied it from here
http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=3885.0
and the copy and paste hadn't taken the picture link with it. If you look above you'll see that the picture is now also with the recipe, in all it's glory
Phew! Hope I haven't made any other mistakes like that. I think I'll just see it all as a Learning Experience

Glad you worked it out Caroline - the only problem is you can't click on it to increase the size. Not a problem a little picture is better than none and if anyone wants to see it enlarged just go to the original topic 3885.0.

Hi all, can I ask why you put the basket into the bowl for this recipe? I can't seem to get a grasp on this. I really want to do a chicken stir fry with veg.
Cheers
