Exited soon to be owner - Amber
« on: March 28, 2011, 08:50:16 am »
Hello everyone, My name is Amber and i have just purchased a Thermomix, hopefully will receive before the weekend.

Just thought i would introduce myself. I have been thinking over the last couple of days what my first recipe should be. Would love to hear what are your favorite easy recipes that i should try first?

Look forward to hearing from all of you, aswell as hopefully contributing to the forum as i learn.

Thanks

xx

Welcome amberdonnelly!! I bet you can't wait to start! Won't your weekend be full! I think when your consultant drops off your machine they will help you make a custard - just to get the feel of working the machine but after that you should make some vege stock cause you will use it in just about everything savory. Look forward to your contributions. ;)

Veg stock sounds like a great idea, think i will be studying the cookbook and diving into lots of recipes. I think i might need to invite some friends around since my husband will be away (extra uninterupted cooking time) and i will have all this food after playing with my TMX.

Hi Amber, welcome to the forum.  Have a browse of this forum and you will soon find lots of lovely recipes to try.  Many have great reviews which helps when you are starting off.  Perhaps try one of the risotto recipes or the all-in-one meals.

Thanks Judy. I do love a risotto but hate having to stir it constantly! Will definately be cooking lots of risottos in my TMX. Thanks

Hi Amber, Bet your excited. I know just how you feel. I had a hundred recipes that I wanted to try but didn't know what to make first. I definitely would try the veg concentrate (Don't be tempted to lick the spoon though as many have done) and custard. Just a couple of simple things to make you a bit more comfortable to try some other recipes. Good luck and enjoy your new best friend. We all love our TMs.

Hi and welcome Amber. You are going to have lots of fun when your machine arrives. TAke care as not all the recipes in the EDC are great successes.

Welcome Amber. I love making soup in my thermomix.  So easy. The vegie stock really is essential.  Have fun.

Hi Amber. Has your TMX arrived yet? If we don't hear from you for a few days I guess we can safely assume it has. Have fun.  :D
