Sorry, forgot the details! :D
Postage is $3.50 for perth and all of WA (up to 19kg). The rapadura is $9.50kg, $41.99 5kg, $5.50 500g or 2.95 250g. Cheapest I have found so far. Hope it helps all you WA girls. They don't even charge extra to post to me up here in Karratha!!!! ;D ;D

Hi I was just wondering with Rapadura do you use less? Say if a baking recipe says 100grams of sugar would you put in 100grams of rapadura? I have been interested in rapadura for a while, does this place post interstate as well?

Thanks

I would use 75g of rapadura if a recipe called for 100g sugar.  :)

I know 2 brothers will post interstate. Rates are a bit more, but still cheap.

Quirky Cooking,( Jo) has a very good article about Rapadura

Thanks CC :) There's a few links to placed you can buy it on my post above.

Yvette, I prefer honey in my tea, as rapadura has a strong flavour - but it's perfect in coffee, or with chocolate, lemon, caramel, vanilla... I do use it in my tea sometimes though. :)

Thanks Jo I don't drink coffee, if I buy some I might try it in tea to see how it tastes anyway :)

Yvette, we use the rapadura in tea, not a problem. I now use it for everything, just replaced the 'normal' sugar altogether.

We use it for almost everything - cakes, biscuits, jam, ice cream, homemade milo, tang zhong bread etc.  The only thing I don't use rapadura for is the sweetener in citrus cakes.  I have made the whole orange cake and date and lime cake (both from this site) using rapadura and both were terrible. These cakes really need the sweetness of raw sugar (or perhaps rapadura and a good pinch of stevia).  :)

Thanks Chelsea and Cottchick I think I might order some and give it a go, I have been interested in trying it for a while, I am a bit addicted to sugar, so rapadura has got to be healthier
