Orgran No-Egg
« on: April 06, 2011, 10:20:33 am »
Before I waste my strawberries, I thought I would ask....

Has anyone used the Orgran No-Egg egg replacement for fruity dream, strawberry foam, or sorbet?  Does it give that lift?

One son is allergic to egg, and I am pregnant so sticky clear of raw egg.  I have never actually used egg white in the sorbets I have made anyway!

I have used it once in sorbet it was creamier the other option is putting in a couple of cubes of coconut milk or cream frozen or I have also heard of people using coconut oil. I find if you use half a banana too that makes it quite creamy. Let us know how it goes

I might try some of your ideas as well Meagan. After the discussion about pasteurising eggs I think these might be easier.
