« on: May 06, 2011, 08:35:32 am »
Hi...I have kind of an unusual request but I know some of you could help... I have a friend who has just found out her son is allergic to peanuts, dairy and gluten..they are italian and yes eat alot of pasta, he can no longer have icecream which he loves etc etc so if you have some great recipes, tasty that are without these ingredients please either let me know via pm or post here...the problem is that she does not own a thermomix and when i mention it i feel she thinks im on a sales pitch even though im not a consultant and there is nothing in it for me just know it would be great for her so I told her to look at the italian sites and forum for bimby and those allergies..who knows!!  In the meantime I really want to help her out and pass on some great recipes non thx or recipes easily converted back to get her started..  She can get gluten free pastas like rice and corn i believe but she said they dont have the same taste of course...anyway help help help !!!

Any advice, recipes, info would be GREATLY appreciated  :)

Thankyou all in advance

How unusual to be Italian and not own a tm! If only she had one - sorbet would solve her icecream problem, and pity about how she feels because the Australian tm demo would suit her right down to the ground except for the bread - everything else is gluten free - sorbet, hommous, salad, risotto (without cheese) and custard made with a milk substitute.

I'll think of some recipes to PM.

She could get a lot of recipes off my blog if you want to give her the address, and there's tips for substituting for dairy products, & wheat. A lot of the recipes can be converted to non-thermomix.  :)

thanks jo i had been meaning to have a closer look as i know you do alot of gluten free but didnt know if it was all three and wanted to speak to you first anyway..i will have to do it as she doesnt speak english..i will get a few recipes together to get her started but i really have to get her to a demo .

Also after speaking to my consultant here they dont do anything for allergy sufferers re the demo and always do the same demo here i have since found out so if someone wouldnt mind sending me the demo you guys do, especially the allergy free one or pretty much and the recipes i would appreciate it and would like to send it on to my consultant...she just keeps telling me they do the same demo as it shows all the functions etc etc and think so many people could benefit from something else..????  Anyone willing could pm me if they didnt want to post it..I dont konw what the rules are conerning this but just believe about helping as many people as possible (and i have nothing to do with the vorwerk team lol)!

 :) :)

No problem, I'll send you what I do for people with allergies, as well as my HO approved allergy menu for my cooking class. :)
